Merry Christmas

I'm sorry for not writing in a while, but it has been very busy here. I can't believe that in a few days that Christmas will be here and also a new year! Time has been flying by and I think it needs to slow down!

All my shopping is done, except for my husband Tom. He is the hardest person to buy for.

Like every year this week will be the busiest! It's non-stop activities. Tuesday, December 23 is the daycare Christmas party and then after that is Christmas Eve. That day seems to be the longest because we all go to church, then this year Uncle Rick and Aunt Nana are having Christmas Eve dinner and after opening gifts there we head over to my mom's and celebrate Christmas with her and papa moon. By the time it's all said and done, it's about midnight when we get home. Then the girls are up early on Christmas Day to see what Santa might have brought them and then we head over to the Milefchik's to spend Christmas with them and open more presents. When it's all said and done we go home to a house full of Christmas gifts and wondering where it's all going to go.

I do have to admit that my girls are very spoiled when it comes to Christmas. With grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins my girls have pretty much everything their hearts desire. I know that it's sounds bad, but one day out of the year is not too bad.

Well, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a safe, healthy and happy new year. My family wishes everyone the best. For the family that can't come home for Christmas...hugs and kisses go out to you and hope to see you soon.

Being Sick

Being sick is no fun! If you know me, I haven't been sick in years! I'm always ready to go and never complaining about being sick. So, it was a shock to family and friends when they heard that I have been down for two whole days. Some where scared that something was really wrong, but nothing serious.

On Sunday morning I woke up and my whole body hurt from head to toe. I stayed in bed all day on Sunday and all day on Monday. Don't get me wrong it was nice staying in a nice warm bed and not doing anything at all, but I didn't realize how much I'm missed.

First of all my family is great, but they all have their faults. One of these faults is not picking up after themselves. I can wake up every morning and find my husbands sock along side the bed and my childrens clothes from the day before on the floor in the bathroom. Like a good mother, I would pick it up without saying a word. Well, now time has changed and I'm tired of being a maid all the time. So, lately if I find clothes on the floor I would pick them up, fold them and put them back in their rooms. Caitlyn was pretty happy that she always had clothes ready to go until she realized I never washed them. She was not happy with that idea and thought that was gross!!! So, she is picking stuff up and my husband, well it's taking him a little bit longer but I have faith in him.

Anyway, since I was sick they were doing alot for me. That's when they all realized how much I do for them. I just don't sit at home all day long and do nothing. I actually work and keep working until my head hits the pillows. I did get lots of hugs and I love you mom alot that day. I think it finally sank in their heads how much I do for them without being paid for it or even being reconized for the things I do. I think it was a good thing that I got sick because like the saying goes... a mother is someone you never outgrow your need for....it's so true.
